Renesola is a Chinese company and provide modules at cheap prices. Renesola is a vertically integrated company with complete R&D and manufacturing of polysilicon, silicon wafer and solar modules. Renesola has a global presence with sales branches established in Europe, the Americas and the Asia-Pacific regions.
Renesola sells most of its Solar Panels under an OEM Contract, which means that it sells its solar panels to companies who put their own brand names on solar panels produced by Renesola.
Types of Solar Panels and available Models
Renesola Solar Modules come in both Monocrystalline and multicrystalline make. The different monocrystalline solar modules from Renesola are: i) 156 black mono (250w-260w), ii) 125mono (190w-200w), iii) 156square mono (260w-270w) and iv) 156mono (250w-260w). The multicrystalline solar modules from Renesola are: VIRTUS and VIRTUS II series.
Solar Frontier Modules can be conveniently used for residential, commercial and utility purposes. They are thin film modules.
Wattage
For Renesola modules the wattage range is 190 W – 310 W. Solar Frontier modules have a wattage range of 145- 165 W.
Weight
Solar Frontier modules have a standard weight of 20 kgs, whereas Renesola modules weigh 16 kg, 19 kg and 29 kg.
Load Resistance
Renesola solar modules come with load resistance of ~5400 pa, whereas for Solar Frontier modules, the load resistance is ~2400 pa.
Power Tolerance
Renesola solar modules come with a positive power tolerance of 0-+5W, whereas Solar Frontier modules have +10%/-5% power tolerance.
Frame
Solar Frontier modules also have a black anodized aluminium frame. Renesola solar panels also have frames made of anodized aluminium alloy.
Certification
Renesola Modules confirm with PV standards such as IEC 61215:2005, IEC 61730:2004, UL 1703 and Solar Frontier solar modules have PTC/STC rating over 90% and are also UL, JET and RoHS compliant.
Warranty
Solar Frontier gives a 25 year extended warranty on all its solar panels. These Solar Panels are reinsured by the German insurance giant Munich Re, which means in case if Solar Frontier goes out of the solar panel business, Munich Re will insure that the warranty holds good. This is better than the standard warranty given by solar panel manufactures.
